lavander skies by kunehoGod One-day Attraction"The Ship of Tricks...? Ugh! Like, what kind of a name is that?" shrieked a somewhat familiar female voice.
Maggie's instincts told her to duck for cover behind a large record book laying on top of the table before her, a move which should have been perfect if it did not make her intention so obvious. Normally, the captain would have already struck a debate by this time as to why she used this name for her crew's take on a carnival attraction but, for the sake of her sanity, she decided to let this one slip through. It was noontime and the sun was high up. Causing any trouble at this hour would get the authority's attention which, in turn, would mean disaster for the pirates.
"That's really, like, soooo lame!" continued the woman. "They could have, like, given it a fancier name or something. Like, one that would actually fit the theme."
"Yeah!" replied other women in the same tonality as the first woman.
Despite the reco
Crushing Babylon"Daniel, what are you doing? Stay away from the window!"
"But I wanna see what's going on!"
"NO!! It's too dangerous! Do you wanna die?"
"Just because he's peeking doesn't mean he's gonna get killed, Erin."
"He's my brother, David. It's my job to make sure he doesn't," the 11-year-old girl glared at her cousin.
"At least, don't kill the fun," replied the redhead being referred to. He winked back at Daniel who, in turn, laughed at his remark. "Besides, he's just a kid. The police don't hurt kids."
Despite Erin's protests, Daniel went back to watching the chaos outside the four-storey building. They were watching TV some few minutes ago before the huge rally took effect on the street down below and brownout happened. The babysitter who was supposed to be there with them did not come so the three kids were left alone to fend for themselves. As far as 8-year-old Daniel was concerned, watching POSRA wrestling 'rebels' was better than aimlessly waiting for the power to turn back on.

Temporary SetbacksHer mother had always said, "Only worry about the things that can kill you. Everything else is just a temporary setback."
Maral repeated the mantra to herself as she pushed the syringe needle in her arm, releasing Chemical H+ into her bloodstream. Already her surroundings intensified: she could smell the overwhelming stench of sweat that mingled with the sweeter scent of the drug; her hearing amplified until she could pinpoint her friend's muscles shifting from across the room; her vision sharpened and brightened so she could make out every single detail in the near darkness.
With a sigh, she leaned against the wall of the abandoned church. Everyone else seemed to be asleep, passing the hours until their next fix. “How much longer, Anoush?” she whispered, knowing her friend could hear her without having to raise her voice.
“They’re bringing the next shipment before dawn,” Anoush answered, standing and making her way towards Maral. She sat down next to her,
Contact LightThere is a shiver along my circuitry when he comes in to check on me. I hear my gears whirr faster, but only for a moment, before my system re-adjusts their speed. I watch him from the corner of my eye, the task before me boring, monotonous, while he is exciting, lively. Lively. I run the word through my processor, its meaning sparking along my wires, slithering between my circuit board. He stops in front of me, glasses falling against the bridge of his nose.
He scribbles something on the clipboard he is holding and I watch as the ligaments and muscles flex in his arm. I rotate my vision down to my own arms, similar in design, but slimmer, more delicate. My shiny copper exterior glints, but I can see the spider web of veins on his skin. They pulse with vitality and intensity.
I remind myself that I only have circuits, wires, gears, metals. He looks into my line of vision, eyes blinking as he pushes his glasses up.
"C9, how are you functioning today?"
I run a systems diagnostic, careful
Beware of DogSurprisingly, the eight headed monster wasn't the weirdest part of my day. I woke up with a searing headache in a room that resembled a hospital. The lights on the ceiling were blinding. I squinted to look around as my eyes adjusted. Other than the bed I was lying on, there was no other furniture. A solitary door stood in the corner, opposite a crude toilet and sink. After a few moments the sharp pounding in my head lessened into a dull throb. I sat up.
Immediately I could tell something was wrong: the left half of my body felt heavier, more clunky than usual. A cursory glance revealed that my arm and leg had been replaced with limbs made of metal. My throat clenched and my stomach dropped, rebelling at the sight of their metallic sheen. I managed to stumble towards the toilet before vomit came racing up my esophagus. I clenched the side of the basin as shudders wracked my body. The spasms passed and I realized I had been retching bile—my stomach was completely empty. With a sour

Pioveva.

Changing [Eng]Change is the secret to success
And you're an expert of change
Like a chameleon you adapt to background
Following the environment in every whim.
No matter how strange are the circumstances
Or what you can meet along your path
You change color, shape, structure and personality
You sacrifice everything to adapt to background.
From the emptiest desert, to the thickest forest
From the deepest abyss, to the highest mountain
You are always perfect, always the most ready
Like a chameleon you conform to background.
But if you ask yourself, after all those changes
What remains under your artful disguise
Would it still be you,
Or only background?
The day of the end of the world [Eng]1st VERSION:
It will be a rainy day
the day of the end of the world
because the apocalypse, more than anything,
needs a dramatic atmosphere.
It will be a rainy day
the day of the end of the world
so that water will wash away the blood
and the thunders will cover the rumble of cries.
It will be a rainy day
the day of the end of the world
and the drops will wet your face
so as to hide me your tears.
Because even on the day of the end
I could never bear to see you cry.

The forest is silent [Eng]A veil of mist follows the path of the witch and the trees stand aside to her passage. Her powers allow her this and more.
On the river bank sleeps the fairy, her head resting on soft moss and her feet skim the water surface. The vegetation stretches out toward her, attracted by her power.
The witch observes the fairy, and the forest is silent.
The ancient eyes of the witch alight on the fairy's hair, an impossible colour between green and blue, so clear to take your breath; her gaze lingers on the white skin, so delicate that it seems having to crumble at the slightest touch.
The witch stoops, approaching the fairy. She would like to wake her, to talk to her and confess what she feels. She stretches a hand to touch her, but something stops her. The witch withdraws her hand and stands up, dejected.
Even today her love will remain a secret, but it doesn't matter, the immortality will grant her another day.
The witch turns, and slowly walks away. She’ll be back tomorrow, and she

If you granted a wish or if your wish was granted, please leave a comment or send the group a note. We need to know who granted the wish and who has their wish granted. If you grant multiple wishes, please save us time by listing everyone instead of just saying you granted everyone's wish. For core membership and point wishes, please tell us if you granted the wish in full.

Please note that the wishes to be featured are usually gathered on Friday and the features might come a few days later, meaning that your wish might not be feature then but the week after. We also limit journals to a maximum of 30 wishes.

That's all for this week folks! Fishing for Wishes will return next week with new wishes.
